Gallagher Re has announced that Brian Flasinski will become the chief executive officer (CEO) for the North American region on June 1, 2024, succeeding Jim Bradshaw. This transition was previously announced in March, which also revealed that Bradshaw would assume the position of chairman of Gallagher Re North America on the same date.
Bradshaw, who has been the CEO of Gallagher Re North America since 2021 following the acquisition of Willis Re, will take over from Tom Wafer, who is retiring on May 31, 2024. With over 40 years of experience in the re/insurance industry, Bradshaw has had a notable career. He joined Willis Re in 2005 and was promoted to CEO of its North American business in 2010.
Who is Brian Flasinski?
Flasinski joined Gallagher Re in 2015, previously serving as executive vice president and North American sales leader. He also spent nine years as senior vice president at Guy Carpenter. In a news release, Flasinski’s leadership in sales was highlighted as instrumental in driving Gallagher Re’s new sales initiatives and providing significant value to clients.
Gallagher Re CEO Tom Wakefield expressed confidence in the leadership changes, emphasizing the firm’s continued success and client-focused approach.
Wakefield also praised Bradshaw’s significant contributions, particularly his role in managing the Willis Re acquisition and fostering substantial growth.
“Jim’s leadership helped us navigate through the Willis Re acquisition and achieve remarkable growth during his tenure. I am grateful for his continued support, guidance, and counsel during the transition and beyond,” he added.
