Lockton has announced a significant change in its leadership team. Travis Leonard has been appointed as the new chief financial officer, succeeding Troy Cook, who has held the position since 2000. Cook will now serve as a direct advisor to chairman and CEO Ron Lockton, focusing on corporate development.
Introducing Travis Leonard
Described by the company as “highly regarded and deeply qualified,” Travis Leonard brings extensive experience across global markets to his new role. Most recently, Leonard served as the CFO at Hostess Brands until its sale to JM Smucker Co in November last year. His previous roles include CFO for the medical segment of Cardinal Health, a leadership position at Kraft Foods (including a tenure in Brazil), and starting his career in financial and economic consultancy with Arthur Andersen.
Leonard hails from the Kansas City area and holds a BS in Finance. He later earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
CEO Ron Lockton expressed enthusiasm for Leonard’s arrival, citing his financial expertise, global perspective, and “great energy” as key assets for supporting the brokerage’s future growth.
New Role for Troy Cook
Troy Cook will transition to the role of EVP of corporate development, where he will actively support Leonard during the transition period. CEO Lockton acknowledged Cook’s “commitment and leadership” and expressed gratitude for his longstanding contributions to the company.
