American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has announced the appointment of Melissa Twiningdavis as executive vice president and chief administrative officer, effective September 1, 2024.
Based in New York, Twiningdavis will report directly to Peter Zaffino, AIG’s chairman and chief executive officer. She will be responsible for overseeing global administrative services, including global sourcing and procurement, real estate, facilities, and shared services operations.
Twiningdavis will also join AIG’s executive leadership team.
Before joining AIG, Twiningdavis led Global Supply Chain Operations at Accenture since January 2022 and served as president at Precision Castparts Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary. Her career also includes a 20-year tenure at General Electric, where she held various leadership positions, including vice president and corporate officer for Supply Chain and Sourcing in Europe.
Twiningdavis holds dual Master of Science degrees from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Muhlenberg College, providing her with a strong foundation in technical and international business fields. Her appointment underscores AIG’s commitment to operational excellence and strategic growth.
