Vantage Group Holdings Ltd. announced substantial enhancements to its insurance leadership team on July 25, 2024, in Bermuda. Kelly Bellitti has been appointed as the new Chief Pricing and Portfolio Actuary, and David Valzania has taken on the role of Chief Underwriting Officer, both with immediate effect. Bellitti and Valzania will now be integral parts of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to Alex Blanco, the Chief Executive of Insurance.
In her newly expanded role, Bellitti will oversee the strategic direction of Vantage’s insurance portfolio, focusing on refining underwriting strategies to align with the company’s overarching business goals. She will continue to lead the insurance pricing actuary team, utilizing data and technology to improve underwriting processes and portfolio management.
Bellitti joined Vantage in 2021 as Senior Vice President and Chief Pricing Actuary of Insurance. Before her tenure at Vantage, she held senior positions at AXA XL, including Global Head of Financial Lines and Cyber Pricing. Bellitti’s actuarial career began at Transatlantic Reinsurance and Guy Carpenter. She is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Valzania’s new responsibilities include ensuring that Vantage’s insurance strategies promote efficiency and profitability. He will oversee the formulation and governance of underwriting policies and standards. Valzania brings extensive experience from his previous roles, including Senior Vice President of Multinational at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and various leadership positions at AIG, such as President and CEO of the Bermuda division, and earlier, Senior Vice President at Marsh.
