The PIA Partnership Picks Chair

The Hanover Insurance Group’s Brad McCreedy has been named chair of The PIA Partnership, a key collaborative initiative that brings together the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) and leading insurance carriers.

McCreedy, who joined The Hanover in 2018 as vice president of personal lines strategy, is responsible for overseeing strategy, agency engagement, and project management for the company’s preferred account auto and home business. He also leads Educators Insurance Agency, an independent agency operating under The Hanover.

Before entering the insurance industry, McCreedy served as a nuclear submarine officer aboard the USS Columbus, a fast-attack submarine based in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He earned a bachelor’s degree in quantitative economics from the US Naval Academy and a master’s degree in strategy and finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

In addition to his extensive educational background, McCreedy holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation and is licensed in all 50 states.

Commenting on McCreedy’s appointment, PIA chief operating officer Dana Anaman said, “Brad’s talent, expertise, and commitment to the success of independent insurance agents will be invaluable to The PIA Partnership and its members.”

The PIA Partnership includes several prominent insurance companies such as Erie Insurance, Foremost, Goodville Mutual Insurance Group, Hastings Mutual Insurance Company, Liberty Mutual, Mercury Insurance, Allstate’s National General, Progressive Insurance, Selective Insurance Group, State Auto Insurance Companies, and Travelers.
