Lockton Re Bolsters Agriculture Business With Key Hire In Bermuda

Lockton Re has appointed Kristopher Lynn as the senior broker and practice leader for agriculture. Lynn will be operating out of the Bermuda office, where he will work closely with both colleagues and clients on a global scale.

Lynn brings a wealth of experience to Lockton Re, having previously held the position of president at AgriSompo, Sompo’s agriculture division in Bermuda, where he has been a key figure since 2014. Before joining AgriSompo, Lynn worked with Terra Underwriting Management and held significant roles at Tokio Millennium Re and ACE. His extensive experience, spanning nearly two decades, covers various sectors within the re/insurance industry across different regions. He has also served on the boards of Gestione Rischi Agricoli Integrati and A&A S.r.l.

Commenting on the appointment, Nick Durant, CEO of North America at Lockton Re, highlighted the importance of establishing a new global Agriculture Practice. He emphasized that Lynn’s deep expertise and experience make him an ideal choice to lead this practice, aligning well with the company’s professional and cultural values.

Lynn expressed his enthusiasm for taking on the new role, citing Lockton Re’s strong reputation and impressive track record over the past five years.

This appointment follows closely on the heels of another key hire, Andrew Ferrier, who was recently named senior broker in Lockton Re’s property and casualty business on the West Coast, based in San Francisco.
