Inszone Insurance Services Expands With Acquisition Of Blue Chip Insurance

Inszone Insurance Services, a national provider of commercial, personal, and benefits insurance, has announced the acquisition of Blue Chip Insurance, a long-established agency in Santa Fe, N.M.

This acquisition expands Inszone’s presence in the Southwest and broadens its client base, positioning the company to deliver its insurance solutions to a larger market.

Blue Chip Insurance has a rich history dating back to 1928 when R.C. McBride founded the agency under the Farmers Insurance Group after moving to Santa Fe from Pennsylvania. In 1952, McBride transitioned the business into an independent agency and introduced real estate services, broadening its portfolio.

In 1966, the agency was acquired by Paul D. Winter, who rebranded it as Winter Insurance Agency in 1973. The following year, Blue Chip Insurance Agency, Inc. purchased the business, setting the stage for future growth.

Jay Winter, who joined Blue Chip in 1982, acquired the agency in 2012 alongside Jane Winter, following the retirement of Paul D. Winter. Under their leadership, Blue Chip Insurance continued to thrive, building on its legacy of providing personalized service.

The acquisition will allow Inszone to expand its offerings to Blue Chip Insurance’s clients, providing access to a broader range of insurance carriers while continuing to offer the personalized service the agency has been known for. Inszone aims to leverage its national presence and expertise to bring enhanced support and resources to Blue Chip Insurance’s customer base.

Inszone Insurance Services is expected to make additional acquisition announcements in the coming months as part of its continued growth strategy.

On Thursday, the brokerage announced the acquisition of Catalyst Benefits Group, LLC, an employee benefits brokerage based in Tulsa, Okla.
