Resilience Boosts Cyber Risk Team With New Hires

Resilience has strengthened its underwriting team with strategic hires as part of its ongoing expansion efforts, driven by increasing demand for comprehensive cyber risk management solutions.

One of the notable appointments is Maria Long, who steps in as deputy chief underwriting officer. Long, with 17 years of experience in the insurance sector, most recently served at Munich Re, specializing in cyber risk management. Her expertise encompasses the entire cyber risk lifecycle, including underwriting cyber and technology errors and omissions (E&O) risks and developing programs to enhance policyholder cyber resilience.

Joining the team as senior vice president of underwriting is Scott Schleicher, a seasoned professional with over three decades of industry experience. Schleicher has held prominent roles in underwriting and brokering, most recently at AXA XL, where he oversaw a diverse portfolio of clients.

The company has also brought on Megan Koffer as vice president of underwriting for the Southeast region. Koffer’s decade-long career includes positions at AXA XL and Hiscox USA, where she honed her expertise in underwriting. Additionally, Janine Cooper joins as assistant vice president of underwriting in the Midwest region. Cooper’s career began in life sciences underwriting at CNA before transitioning to cyber and professional liability roles at Ironshore Insurance.

This announcement follows a transformative year for Resilience. In 2024, the company doubled its insurance capacity in the US to $20 million per client and broadened its offerings to include technology E&O liability coverage, underscoring its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its clients.
