CCR Re has announced the appointment of Ludovic Boulanger as a life underwriter, effective January 2025.
Boulanger brings over 18 years of experience in life actuarial science and reinsurance, with expertise in protection, long-term care, credit insurance, and savings. His career includes several strategic roles in the reinsurance industry. From 2019 to 2025, he served as a reinsurance expert at BPCE Assurances. Prior to that, he was the head of life reserving at PartnerRe, where he managed complex portfolios and developed customized solutions.
Earlier in his career, Boulanger worked as a reserving and valuation actuary at SCOR Global Life, contributing to significant projects in life insurance and reinsurance. He holds advanced degrees in actuarial science and financial markets from Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers and Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée.
Commenting on his new position, Boulanger expressed enthusiasm for joining CCR Re, citing the company’s strong reputation for expertise and client-centric solutions. CCR Re’s leadership also emphasized that his appointment aligns with the reinsurer’s ongoing commitment to delivering specialized services to its life reinsurance clients.
In another key development, CCR Re has named Vaibhavi Mehta as director of underwriting for its life division. Mehta, who has over 17 years of experience in reinsurance and consultancy, has held senior roles at RGA and AXIS Specialty Limited. Her expertise includes managing complex portfolios and crafting innovative solutions for markets across Asia-Pacific and Europe.
Mehta’s academic credentials include a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD, a master’s degree in hospital management from the Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration in India, and a bachelor of business administration from South Gujarat University, where she graduated as a gold medalist.
