The Hartford Appoints Annette Rippert To Board Of Directors

The Hartford has announced the appointment of Annette Rippert to its board of directors, effective February 18. Rippert will contribute her expertise to the board’s finance, investment, and risk management committee.

Rippert retired from her role as chief executive of Accenture’s strategy and consulting group, where she led the transformation of the company’s $15 billion advisory services portfolio by leveraging technology, data, and artificial intelligence. She also serves on the board of trustees at Northwestern University. During her career at Accenture, Rippert held several leadership positions, including leading the North American technology business and serving as technology and innovation lead for Accenture Federal Services.

In addition, Kathleen Winters joined The Hartford’s board on July 1. Winters has been appointed to the finance, investment, and risk management committee and the audit committee. Previously, she held various leadership roles at Honeywell International, including serving as CFO for the Performance Materials and Technologies division.

The Hartford also announced two executive appointments to its leadership team, effective October 1. H. Clay Bassett Jr. has been named global chief underwriting officer and head of reinsurance, succeeding M. Ross Fisher, who retired at the end of last year. Fisher had earlier succeeded Jonathan Bennett, who also retired at the close of 2023.

Additionally, Michael Fish has been appointed head of group benefits.
