Pillar Security Secures $9M In Seed Funding Round

Pillar Security, a U.S.-based startup pioneering cybersecurity solutions purpose-built for AI-driven enterprises, has announced the successful close of a $9 million seed funding round.

The round was led by Shield Capital, with additional backing from Golden Ventures, Ground Up Ventures, and a select group of strategic angel investors.

Pillar offers a comprehensive security platform tailored to the unique challenges of AI-powered software systems. As AI adoption accelerates across enterprise environments, traditional cybersecurity tools are proving insufficient against emerging risks. Pillar is stepping in to bridge that gap with a security-first approach designed specifically for the AI era.

The newly raised capital will fuel the company’s research and development efforts and expand its go-to-market initiatives. Pillar aims to help enterprises confidently scale their AI deployments by defending against advanced threats such as evasion attacks, data poisoning, and intellectual property leakage.

Citing a recent Deloitte survey, the company underscores the urgency of its mission: 77% of cybersecurity leaders express serious concerns about AI-related risks, and 40% of organizations have already experienced an AI-linked security or privacy breach, with a quarter of those being the result of malicious activity.

With its AI-native platform and strengthened financial backing, Pillar Security is positioning itself at the forefront of enterprise protection in the age of intelligent software.
