Insurance Industry Sees Wave Of Senior Appointments To Drive Strategic Growth

A number of companies within the insurance sector have announced key leadership changes aimed at reinforcing their executive teams and supporting expansion efforts across critical business areas.

Aspen Names New Head of Inland Marine

Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has appointed Jon Kattman as Head of Inland Marine. Kattman brings more than 14 years of underwriting experience to the role and has been with Aspen since 2017.

Previously serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Field for Inland Marine, Kattman will now lead the company’s inland marine underwriting operations from its Atlanta office. In his new role, he will be responsible for guiding underwriting strategy and managing risk across the portfolio.

Send Elevates Shelley McCormack to Chief of Staff

Send Technology Solutions, a leading insurtech firm, has promoted Shelley McCormack to the role of Chief of Staff as the company accelerates its international growth initiatives.

McCormack joined Send from Aviva, where she led the implementation of Send’s Underwriting Workbench for Global Corporate and Specialty. Since joining the company, she has overseen delivery, customer success, and key strategic projects.

In her new position, McCormack will report directly to CEO Andy Moss and will focus on enhancing cross-functional collaboration and supporting strategic engagement with customers and partners.

AXA XL Appoints Chief Underwriting Officer for APAC and Europe

AXA XL has named Tavpraneet Singh as Chief Underwriting Officer for International Financial Lines across the Asia-Pacific and European regions, effective June 1.

Singh succeeds Ana Dores, who has transitioned to the role of Country Leader for Iberia. In his new capacity, Singh will lead the underwriting strategy for various specialty areas, including professional indemnity, management liability, financial institutions, cyber, and mergers & acquisitions.

With a strong track record at AXA XL, Singh previously served as Regional Product Leader for Financial Lines and Cyber since 2021, bringing significant expertise to his new role.
