Geo Underwriting has announced a strategic partnership with Merit Advantage, aiming to enhance risk management for agricultural clients through discounted access to innovative digital tools.
As part of the collaboration, farmers and estate managers who purchase a Geo agriculture policy via a broker will receive a 5% discount on a subscription to the Merit Advantage app. This initiative is designed to streamline farm operations and improve safety compliance.
The Merit Advantage platform assigns a unique QR code to each asset on a property—ranging from machinery and buildings to fuel tanks and tools—enabling users to digitally log maintenance checks, scan equipment, and access inspection histories. The system is intended to replace traditional paper-based records, offering a more efficient and reliable approach to routine safety checks, servicing logs, and issue tracking.
Subscribers will gain access to both the Merit Advantage and MeritAgCheck platforms, which provide tools for managing health and safety, conducting risk and fire assessments, overseeing contractors, and ensuring compliance with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations. Additional capabilities include digital farm mapping, which highlights hazard zones and eliminates the need for physical maps.
