Arch Insurance International Appoints Head of Construction
Arch Insurance International has named Tim Chapman as its new Head of Construction, a position created to spearhead growth in the firm’s global construction portfolio and bolster its open-market presence.
Based in London, Chapman will report directly to Jake Gibbs, Head of Marine, Energy and Construction. He brings more than 25 years of experience in underwriting major infrastructure projects. Most recently, he served as Global Segment Leader for Civil Works and EMEA Head of Construction at SCOR. His previous roles also include senior underwriting responsibilities at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.
Lino Leoni, Chief Underwriting Officer for Short Tail Lines at Arch, emphasized that the appointment underscores the company’s strategic intent to expand within the construction insurance sector.
Send Taps Steve Ritchie as Chief Revenue Officer
Insurtech firm Send has appointed Steve Ritchie as Chief Revenue Officer to lead its global revenue strategy, with an emphasis on new business development and expansion in the North American market.
Ritchie brings a strong background in commercial strategy, having held executive roles across multiple technology and financial firms. He was most recently CRO at Pavilion Payments and has worked with several private equity-backed companies to scale operations and drive growth.
Geneva Association Elects New Board Members
At its 2025 General Assembly held in New York City from May 29–30, the Geneva Association announced the election of two industry leaders to its board of directors:
- Andreas Berger, Group CEO of Swiss Re
- Andrew Sullivan, CEO of Prudential Financial
The annual gathering brought together 58 CEOs from leading global insurers and reinsurers to discuss industry challenges in a changing geopolitical and environmental landscape. The board also renewed the mandate of Jad Ariss as Managing Director for an additional two years.
The Geneva Association serves as a global platform for insurance CEOs, promoting research, dialogue, and policy development around key risk and societal issues.
HIVE Underwriters Enters Space Insurance Market
HIVE Underwriters is set to launch a new space insurance line, with the appointment of Jack Kenneally as Class Underwriter. Kenneally, who is currently serving his notice period at Occam Underwriting, will lead the development of HIVE’s space portfolio, expanding its reach beyond existing aviation products.
The move marks a significant step in HIVE’s growth strategy, which aims to deepen its specialization and attract top-tier underwriting talent. HIVE currently underwrites risks in airline and general aviation hull and liability, aviation war, and excess war liability.
