ICS Appoints Isabella Macfarlane as Head of London Markets
Insurance Compliance Services (ICS) has named Isabella Macfarlane as its new Head of London Markets. Macfarlane brings a wealth of regulatory and industry experience to the role, having most recently served at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). At ICS, she will advise broker and managing general agent (MGA) clients, with a particular emphasis on those transitioning to enhanced scope status under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). Her remit includes strengthening governance, oversight, and compliance monitoring.
During her tenure at the FCA, Macfarlane played a pivotal role within the wholesale insurance market interventions supervision team. She was instrumental in the development and deployment of the regulator’s culture and non-financial misconduct survey, and also spearheaded reviews into the use of non-admitted insurers by UK intermediaries. Prior to her regulatory career, she held underwriting positions at Ecclesiastical and XL Catlin.
RSA Names Tovah Grosscurth as Managing Director of UK Commercial Lines
RSA has appointed Tovah Grosscurth as Managing Director of its UK commercial lines division, pending regulatory approval. She succeeds Sonya Bryson, who will remain with the company during a transitional period.
Grosscurth is a long-standing RSA veteran, having spent nearly 30 years with the insurer. She most recently led the commercial lines e-trade division and brings extensive operational and strategic experience to her new position. In her expanded role, she will report directly to RSA UK & International CEO Ken Norgrove and oversee the unit’s overall strategy, financial outcomes, and daily operations.
Konsileo Welcomes US Insurance Leader Joe Zuk to Board
Independent commercial insurance broker Konsileo has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Joe Zuk to its board of directors. Based in the United States, Zuk joins as an independent director and will support the firm’s strategic growth initiatives.
An operating partner at Altamont Capital Partners, Zuk boasts a diverse background across broking, underwriting, managing general agency (MGA) operations, and corporate strategy. He previously held senior roles at Orchid Underwriters and Atlas General Holdings and has been instrumental in the formation of property and casualty-focused reinsurance structures. Zuk also serves in an advisory capacity to several Altamont-affiliated insurance ventures in the UK.
