Berkeley Research Group Expands Business Insurance Claims Practice To EMEA

Berkeley Research Group (BRG) has announced the launch of its Business Insurance Claims (BIC) practice across the EMEA region, including the UK, marking the unit’s first expansion beyond the United States.

This move aligns with the global consulting firm’s broader international growth strategy and will be spearheaded by Richard Cameron-Williams, who joins BRG as Head of BIC, EMEA.

Cameron-Williams brings over two decades of experience in forensic accounting, having worked extensively across Europe, the Middle East, and North America. His expertise spans collaboration with insurers, reinsurers, legal counsel, and corporate clients on evaluating financial losses—particularly those involving complex business interruption claims. He has also served as an independent expert in cases involving profit loss, contractual disputes, procurement issues, valuations, and fraud investigations.

BRG’s BIC practice provides clients with specialised support in the preparation and evaluation of insurance claims, with a focus on high-value and technically complex losses. With over 50 professionals based in the United States, the newly established EMEA team will enhance BRG’s ability to serve the insurance and reinsurance markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The expansion comes amid increasing demand for independent claims expertise, driven by a rise in large and disputed losses across industries such as manufacturing, energy, retail, and logistics. Business interruption claims, in particular, have become more prevalent in recent years due to ongoing economic disruptions and supply chain challenges.
