Arch Insurance International and Ki have each announced strategic senior appointments aimed at enhancing their underwriting expertise and governance capabilities.
Arch Expands Construction Underwriting Team
Arch Insurance International has appointed Stephen Convery as Senior Construction Underwriter, effective immediately. Based in London, Convery will report to Tim Chapman, Head of Construction, and will focus on advancing Arch’s global construction portfolio, which covers large and complex infrastructure risks.
The appointment follows the recent hiring of Chapman and underscores Arch’s commitment to strengthening its position in the construction insurance market. Convery brings over 18 years of industry experience and joins from SCOR, where he held a similar underwriting role.
Chapman, who joined Arch last month, has more than 25 years of experience in underwriting major infrastructure projects. He previously served as Global Segment Leader for Civil Works and EMEA Head of Construction at SCOR, overseeing strategic direction and performance across multiple regions.
Ki Names Jacques Bonneau as Non-Executive Chair
In a parallel move, Ki has announced the appointment of Jacques Bonneau as Non-Executive Chair of Ki Financial Limited, effective July 1.
Bonneau recently retired as President and CEO of PartnerRe in March 2024. His distinguished career includes leadership roles at Chubb, where he served as Group Chief Underwriting Officer, as well as advisory work with the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA). He currently holds non-executive positions at Brit Re and Novel.
The leadership update follows Ki’s earlier announcement of a new capacity partnership with QBE, signaling continued momentum in the company’s growth and governance strategy.
