Flood Re and Consilium have announced a series of senior leadership changes aimed at advancing their strategic priorities and strengthening operational oversight.
Flood Re Bolsters Executive Team Amid Strategic Transition
Flood Re has unveiled multiple leadership appointments as it continues to evolve under the direction of CEO Perry Thomas, who joined the organisation in February. The executive changes are designed to support Flood Re’s long-term objective of enabling a transition to risk-reflective flood insurance pricing, ahead of its planned market exit in 2039.
Latinka Pilipovic has been named Chief Financial Officer and appointed to the board, effective August 1, subject to regulatory approval. She brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as CFO at Guardian Financial Services and has held senior positions at Foresters Financial UK, Legal & General, and Aviva. She succeeds interim CFO Dave Dunning, who will depart following a transition period.
Dan Byrne, currently serving as Chief Risk Officer, has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer while retaining his CRO responsibilities until an interim successor is appointed. Byrne joined Flood Re in 2016 and has held the CRO post since 2017.
Meanwhile, Max Bero, currently Director of Operations, has been elevated to Chief Operating Officer, pending regulatory approval. Bero, who has been with Flood Re since its inception in 2016, previously held roles at QBE Insurance, RSA, and Deloitte.
Consilium Welcomes Peter Coleman to Senior Leadership
Consilium, the global specialty (re)insurance division of Aventum Group, has appointed Peter Coleman to its senior leadership team as part of its growth-focused strategy.
Coleman will join Consilium following his departure from Guy Carpenter Facultative, where he served as Managing Director and Global Head of Placement. He brings extensive experience from senior roles at Agora Syndicate and Ironshore, with deep expertise in the London Market.
These appointments underscore both organisations’ commitment to driving forward their long-term ambitions through experienced and strategic leadership.
