AmTrust International, a subsidiary of AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., has announced the appointment of Tony Scott as Head of AmTrust Specialty Limited Claims and Head of Claims for its Specialty Business Unit, pending regulatory approval.
Based in London, Scott will oversee the strategic direction and execution of AmTrust’s claims operations across its specialty business. He will report to Bruce Whitmee, CEO of AmTrust Specialty Limited, and functionally to Ariel Gorelik, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Operating Officer of AmTrust Financial Services, Inc.
In his new role, Scott will lead claims management and resolution, champion innovation and process improvement, and ensure adherence to AmTrust’s claims management principles and standards.
Bringing more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, Scott began his career at HSBC, where he held various senior roles over 25 years, including Head of Claims. He later joined Canopius Group as Claims Operations Manager and Head of Retail and Delegated, before spending seven years as Head of Claims at Geo Underwriting, a managing general agent specializing in niche insurance markets in the UK and abroad.
