Specialist Risk Group (SRG) has announced the acquisition of Health Partners Europe Limited (HPE) and SEMPRIS Limited, a leading group delivering specialist healthcare schemes, insurance, and technology solutions for elite sport.
Established in 1993, HPE is known for its tailored, technology-led approach to designing and managing bespoke healthcare programmes that meet the unique needs of professional athletes. The company supports athletes across more than 80 sporting disciplines and has maintained a longstanding partnership with the Premier League since 1994, serving as its Appointed Healthcare Advisors for over three decades.
HPE’s client base spans the majority of the 92 professional clubs within the Premier League and English Football League, as well as organisations within the Women’s Super League, national teams, and elite academies. Its services play a vital role in helping clubs, medical teams, and players access specialist care swiftly while optimising health and performance outcomes.
In 2010, HPE expanded its expertise with the launch of SEMPRIS, offering professional indemnity insurance solutions tailored for medical practitioners working in elite sport. The company also created Formis, a comprehensive athlete management platform designed to support sports organisations in monitoring health, performance, and injury management—including specialised tools for head injury assessments.
Following the acquisition, SRG stated that HPE will continue to invest in technology and service innovation to enhance access to healthcare and insurance solutions across the high-performance sector.
