Arrowhead Intermediaries, one of the world’s largest delegated authority platforms, has appointed Steven Beard as chief executive officer, international. Beard will step into the role in February 2026 and will be based in London, reporting directly to Arrowhead Intermediaries CEO Steve Boyd.
The company operates a global MGA and broking platform, providing access to more than 400 carriers and 190 insurance programmes. With a strong foothold in specialty and delegated authority business, Arrowhead supports entrepreneurial underwriting and broking teams worldwide. Its international operations include Nexus Group, a prominent specialty MGA, and Bridge Specialty International, which delivers specialty broking services across the UK, US, and additional strategic markets.
Beard joins Arrowhead with extensive leadership experience across the insurance and broader financial services landscape. Most recently, he served as group president at Charles Taylor, a global insurance services provider. His earlier roles include senior executive positions at Ardonagh Group, Corant Group, and RFIB, where he played key roles in strategic expansion, operational transformation, and M&A initiatives. His broader career, spanning organisations such as Xchanging, Agilisys, Globalwave, and Redwave, reflects a robust blend of insurance knowledge and technology-led business expertise.
Arrowhead has been steadily expanding its international presence, acquiring and integrating specialty MGAs and brokers to enhance its delegated authority and specialty risk capabilities. The group continues to invest in digital platforms, data analytics, and programme innovation to support underwriting performance, compliance, and market reach across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
