Specialist insurer CFC has appointed Christyn Yoast as global head of commercial, as the business looks to strengthen and execute its commercial strategy across an expanding international footprint.
Yoast is set to join the company in January 2026 and will be based in New York.
The appointment comes amid a period of what CFC has described as “significant international expansion”, marked by new office openings and product launches as the insurer continues to scale its global operations.
CFC positions itself as a specialist insurance provider and a pioneer in emerging risk, with a market-leading presence in cyber insurance. Headquartered in London, the company operates offices in New York, San Francisco, Austin, Brussels and Brisbane, and employs more than 900 people worldwide.
Yoast brings extensive experience in cyber insurance and digital distribution to the role. She joins CFC from BOXX Insurance, where she most recently served as US president. BOXX has been undergoing a period of transition since Zurich Insurance Group announced in July 2025 that it had completed the acquisition of the cyber insurance and risk-management insurtech, expanding Zurich’s global retail and SME cyber offering.
CFC described Yoast’s appointment as part of a broader realignment of cyber talent, reflecting an active period of senior leadership movement across the cyber insurance market.
Her hire follows other recent senior appointments at CFC, including the naming of Nick Line as chief underwriting officer. Line succeeds Matt Taylor, who had served in the role on an interim basis since February 2025.
