Arch Insurance’s UK Regional Division has appointed Mark McGrady as head of casualty, effective immediately, reinforcing its focus on strengthening leadership across the business.
Based in Glasgow, McGrady will be responsible for driving the growth of Arch’s casualty portfolio throughout its UK regional network. His remit includes overseeing underwriting strategy, leading product development, and managing the distribution of casualty solutions. He will report directly to Stuart Danskin, director of underwriting for the UK Regional Division.
McGrady brings close to two decades of experience in the insurance market. He joined Arch in 2022 and most recently served as liability underwriting manager for UK regions. Prior to joining the company, he held commercial underwriting roles with Chapman and Stacey Limited, LV=, and Aviva.
This appointment forms part of a broader series of leadership developments within the division. In December, four branch underwriting managers—Steve Barlow, Andy Coates, Peter Howard, and Paul Taylor—were promoted to newly created regional underwriting manager positions, taking responsibility for the Midlands & South West, London & the Home Counties, North & Scotland, and South & Thames Valley, respectively.
These changes followed an earlier organisational restructure in February 2025, which saw Ian Grundy, Janice Mullan, Tony O’Reilly, and Janine Starkie elevated to regional manager roles across the same territories, further strengthening the division’s regional leadership structure.
