Several firms across the insurance and reinsurance sector have announced senior leadership appointments spanning private equity advisory, cyber insurance and financial lines underwriting, highlighting the market’s continued focus on specialist expertise and strategic growth initiatives.
Gallagher strengthens PEMA team with senior adviser appointment
Gallagher has appointed Charles Amblard as senior adviser within the EMEA division of its global multidisciplinary Private Equity and M&A (PEMA) practice.
In the new role, Amblard will concentrate on building new client relationships and broadening Gallagher’s reach within the European private equity and mergers and acquisitions market. He is scheduled to join the company on June 1.
Amblard joins from Marsh, where he most recently served as head of private equity solutions and head of sales for PEMA Europe. Prior to joining Marsh in 2018, he spent eight years at Aon, eventually serving as managing director of strategic advisors and transaction solutions.
Miller creates cyber-focused strategic delivery role
Miller has appointed Lyndsey Bauer as strategic delivery lead, cyber, in a newly established position aimed at strengthening the integration of cyber risk considerations across insurance portfolios.
Bauer joins the business from Price Forbes, where she worked as managing director and cyber product leader. Earlier in her career, she served as a partner at Paragon International Brokers, overseeing the growth of the company’s cyber insurance practice, including product development, client advisory services and placement negotiations.
Nexus expands financial lines underwriting capability
Nexus Underwriting Limited has named Chris Bailey as head of regional underwriting development – financial lines.
Bailey brings more than 25 years of experience in financial lines underwriting and has extensive expertise in developing underwriting teams and strengthening broker relationships throughout the UK market. His appointment is expected to further enhance Nexus’s management liability offering in the UK.
He joins Nexus from AXA, where he held the role of management liability underwriting manager. Bailey has also held senior regional underwriting positions at AXA XL, Chubb, AIG, Travelers and RSA.
In his new role, Bailey will support the continued expansion of Nexus’s financial lines business, with a focus on developing a management liability proposition that complements the firm’s professional indemnity and financial institutions capabilities.
