HDI Global has officially named Simon Hunt as chief executive officer of its UK and Ireland operations, following his tenure as interim CEO. In his new role, Hunt will oversee the company’s continued expansion efforts as part of its Xcelerate29 growth strategy.
The appointment became effective on June 1, 2026. Hunt had been serving as interim CEO since February after the departure of former chief executive Stephanie Ogden. Prior to assuming the interim leadership position, he served as chief financial officer for the UK and Ireland business. Since joining HDI Global in 2019, Hunt has held several senior leadership positions across the organisation.
The insurer also announced that Ger Twomey will continue in the role of interim chief financial officer.
