LSEG And Snowflake Expand Five-Year Partnership

LSEG, the global financial markets infrastructure and data provider, and Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, have expanded their relationship through a new five-year partnership covering their wider enterprise operations.

The agreement, announced at the Snowflake World Tour, is designed to make trusted financial data more accessible through the platforms and applications that customers already use.

Under the expanded partnership, LSEG will combine its financial data and market infrastructure with Snowflake’s cloud-based data and AI capabilities. The companies aim to create a more open and secure environment that makes it easier for customers to access and exchange high-quality financial information. Customers will be able to use LSEG’s financial intelligence directly within their existing platforms and applications.

As part of the agreement, LSEG will increase its investment in Snowflake to support anticipated growth, migration activities and client-facing data services across its Markets, Data & Analytics, AI and Risk Intelligence businesses. Snowflake will also license LSEG’s Risk Intelligence World-Check services for customer onboarding and third-party risk screening.

The expanded partnership builds on LSEG’s existing use of Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud for data and analytics, reporting and Snowflake Marketplace offerings. Shared customers will be able to combine licensed LSEG content with their own internal data and information from other third-party sources, enabling them to conduct analytics and AI workloads within a governed environment.

LSEG provides market infrastructure and data solutions across the trading lifecycle, helping customers access and deploy capital more efficiently through an open ecosystem.

Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud is designed to help businesses use and share data, applications and AI. The company says more than 14,500 customers worldwide use its platform, including hundreds of the world’s largest companies.
