HIVE Underwriters and Allianz Commercial have unveiled a new partnership to underwrite aviation hull war and excess third-party aviation war liabilities (XS AVN52) classes, effective immediately.
Leveraging Allianz’s capacity, the collaboration will impact HIVE’s risk analytics and exposure management systems.
HIVE Underwriters, in its sixth year of trading, underwrites a diverse aviation account on behalf of a substantial panel of Lloyd’s syndicates and insurance companies, all with top-tier (A+ S&P rated) security. The company has devised a proprietary risk mapping and analytics model, utilizing multiple data feeds to track, monitor, and assess threats, enabling optimal management of each underwritten portfolio.
“HIVE is continually looking to enhance our suite of data analytics to take advantage of the fast-moving technological advancements in the sector. We have a laser-like focus on developing best-in-class analytics, ensuring the HIVE team is well equipped to procure and optimize the portfolio,” HIVE chief underwriting officer Bruce Carman said.
Meanwhile, Allianz Commercial global head of aviation Tom Fadden also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the company’s commitment to enriching its offerings to clients.
“It demonstrates Allianz Commercial’s commitment to aviation as a strategic area of our business,” Fadden said. “HIVE’s proven track record as a leader in that segment and their best-in-class tools and underwriting expertise will help us to provide the high-quality products and solutions our clients expect from us.”
