Accredited Insurance Holdings has announced the addition of Barbara Bufkin and Patricia Roufca as non-executive directors to its group board.
Accredited, an international program management company, emphasized that both Bufkin and Roufca bring extensive expertise in the insurance industry, having served in multiple senior leadership positions across the sector.
Bufkin’s career includes significant executive roles in reinsurance, specialty insurance, and wholesale distribution, with key positions at companies such as Guy Carpenter, Swiss Re, Hamilton Insurance Group, and Argo Limited. She has also served as a senior advisor to Amwins and currently sits as an independent director for Duck Creek Technologies, Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited, and Westfield Companies. Bufkin further supports Opterrix as an advisor and is the chair of the Association of Professional Insurance Women.
Roufca was most recently the UK chief executive officer of Fidelis Underwriting Limited, where she also held roles as group general counsel and director of strategic execution. During her time with Fidelis Insurance Holdings, she contributed to the successful bifurcation of the company and served as group chief operating officer.
Prior to Fidelis, Roufca held various positions at Aspen Insurance, including group head of legal, having begun her career as a corporate lawyer.
Accredited CEO William Spiegel praised the appointments, noting that Bufkin and Roufca will contribute a “fresh perspective and valuable insights” to the board, supporting the company’s objectives of balanced growth, effective risk management, and strong governance.
Last month, the global program manager also expanded with the addition of Neil McConachie as chief risk and capital officer, also reporting to Spiegel.
