Acrisure Re Expands ARCAS Division With Key Leadership Appointments

Acrisure Re, the re/insurance division of global fintech firm Acrisure, has announced a series of strategic appointments within its Corporate Advisory & Solutions (ARCAS) division, reinforcing its commitment to growth and expertise in the sector.

Lauren Johnson Returns as Head of Funds at Lloyd’s (FAL) Lauren Johnson has rejoined the ARCAS London team as head of Funds at Lloyd’s (FAL). In her new role, she will lead the division’s expanding Lloyd’s FAL capabilities. Johnson previously worked with ARCAS in 2021 as a vice president before spending 18 months at Wakam. Her prior experience includes six years at Securis Investment Partners, where she served as head of Lloyd’s and specialty analytics.

Assad Negyal Appointed Head of Pricing Assad Negyal has joined ARCAS as head of pricing, bringing extensive experience as a pricing actuary. Based in London, he commenced his role in January following his tenure as a senior pricing actuary at Starr Insurance. His professional background also includes key pricing roles at Chubb Europe, Zurich Financial Services, Barbican, Odyssey Re, and Lloyd’s.

David Ryan Joins as Head of Exposure Management David Ryan joined ARCAS in late 2024 as head of exposure management, based in London. With over 15 years of expertise in exposure management, Ryan has previously held similar positions at Talbot, Lloyd’s, and Willis Re, enhancing his deep understanding of risk assessment and mitigation.

Lucas He Appointed Vice President, Retrospective Solutions Lucas He became part of the ARCAS London office in February as vice president, retrospective solutions. In this role, he will contribute to strengthening the division’s retrospective solutions offering. He brings extensive experience in legacy and M&A transactions, most recently serving as vice president in R&Q’s M&A division. His past roles also include positions as a legacy M&A and actuarial specialist at Catalina, as well as corporate development and M&A roles at Antares Reinsurance and JLT.

Strengthening ARCAS’ Market Position ARCAS operates across four key pillars: advisory, capital, legacy, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The division’s recent expansion aligns with its ongoing strategy to enhance service offerings. Notably, its last major development saw the appointment of Alex Orloff as managing director of ARCAS North America.

All newly appointed professionals will report to Ben Canagaretna, global managing director of ARCAS. Canagaretna emphasized the firm’s continued focus on the Lloyd’s Funds at Lloyd’s (FAL) market, highlighting ARCAS’ growth into one of the largest managers of third-party funds at Lloyd’s.

These strategic appointments underline Acrisure Re’s commitment to strengthening its expertise and market presence, ensuring continued innovation and leadership in the re/insurance sector.
