American International Group (AIG) has announced the election of seasoned technology leader Juan Perez to its Board of Directors. His appointment, effective February 20, 2025, aligns with AIG’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its data and digital strategy.
Perez, serving as an independent director, brings extensive expertise in artificial intelligence, data strategy, and digital transformation. Currently, he is the executive vice president and chief information officer at Salesforce, with a distinguished career spanning over three decades. Prior to his role at Salesforce, he played a pivotal role at UPS, driving the company’s adoption of advanced analytics and AI technologies.
Expressing his enthusiasm about joining AIG, Perez highlighted the company’s technological advancements. “I am impressed with AIG’s underwriting profitability, financial performance, and strategic progress across key areas, including their development of a GenAI and Large Language Model-powered solution,” he stated.
Perez holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the University of Southern California in industrial and systems engineering and computer and manufacturing engineering, respectively.
Beyond his role at AIG, Perez serves on the boards of The Hershey Company and Wabtec Corporation. He also provides advisory support to the University of Southern California’s School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Georgia Tech’s School of Business.
His appointment is expected to further strengthen AIG’s leadership in digital innovation and strategic growth.
