Angelica Solutions welcomes Matt and Katherine Goldsmith
Angelica Solutions has expanded its network of industry collaborators with the addition of Matt and Katherine Goldsmith, who together bring more than 35 years of expertise in pricing and underwriting across motor, home, travel, and commercial vehicle insurance.
Their collective experience spans leading insurers including AXA, Allianz, eSure, and Swiftcover.
Katherine’s background includes claims modelling, commercial pricing, data strategy, MI reporting, and technical underwriting, while Matt brings extensive technical proficiency in building and maintaining rating engines using Radar and Python. He also has experience automating testing and deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
An ISTQB-certified professional with knowledge of cloud technologies, Matt has contributed to multiple pricing transformation initiatives for international teams.
Founded in 2019 by Vaughan, Angelica Solutions provides practical solutions and industry expertise to insurers and managing general agents (MGAs).
Amiga Specialty appoints Jamie Ricketts as Managing Director, Financial Institutions
Amiga Specialty has appointed Jamie Ricketts as managing director for its financial institutions division—a newly created role aimed at strengthening the company’s financial lines operations.
Based in London and reporting to group managing director Adam Kembrooke, Ricketts will be responsible for establishing the product line, setting strategic direction, and collaborating with brokers and clients to deliver strong results and service.
Ricketts previously held senior positions at AXIS and most recently served as managing director, financial institutions, at Nexus Underwriting. He joins Amiga at a pivotal stage in its growth, expressing enthusiasm about building out the new product line and contributing to a company with “significant ambitions and a talented, committed team.”
Since launching in May 2025, Amiga Specialty has expanded its financial lines and transactional risks operations across the UK and Hong Kong, supported by a series of senior appointments.
