Antares Global Management Limited has unveiled its leadership team for the newly established commercial division, a move expected to strengthen the company’s operations across Syndicate 1274 and Bermuda-based Antares Re. The new division, helmed by Mark Graham as CEO, aims to propel growth with three divisional leaders appointed to oversee key segments of the business, a news release highlighted.
Leadership Appointments
- Martin Campbell: Campbell has been appointed head of the casualty FinPro division and chair of the Antares Underwriting Committee. He will also act as the interim head of the reinsurance division. Subject to regulatory and board approvals, Campbell is expected to join the Antares Managing Agency Limited (AMAL) Board as chief underwriting officer (CUO). Additionally, he will assume the role of active underwriter for Syndicate 1274, pending Lloyd’s approval.
Campbell, who joined Antares in 2019, brings extensive experience from previous roles at The Channel Syndicate and Newline Group. Promoted to head of specialty in 2020, he has also led the financial institutions team, showcasing his expertise in specialty insurance. - James Glynn: Glynn will lead the marine division. Having joined Antares in 2011 as a specie underwriter, he was promoted to class underwriter for specie business in 2017. His career prior to Antares includes a stint at Willis Towers Watson, where he honed his underwriting skills.
- James Thomas: Thomas will head the newly established specialty division, encompassing political and financial risks, terrorism, and accident and health. He joined Antares in 2015 as a political and financial risks underwriter and was elevated to class underwriter in 2020. Before Antares, Thomas gained valuable experience at AIG.
Mark Graham expressed confidence in the leadership appointments, stating, “I am delighted to be able to announce the leadership structure that we have put in place for the new Antares commercial division.
