Aon Announces Senior Leadership Appointments In EMEA Commercial Risk Division

Aon plc has unveiled a series of senior leadership changes within its Commercial Risk division across the EMEA region, reinforcing its commitment to growth and capability development under its strategic “3×3 Plan.”

Key Leadership Appointments

Paul Young has been named EMEA Specialty Leader, a newly defined role in which he will oversee sector-specific teams across natural resources, transportation & logistics, and construction & infrastructure. With over 15 years at Aon, Young most recently led the firm’s natural resources business in EMEA. In his expanded remit, he will coordinate and drive alignment across the region’s specialty practice groups.

Chris Chadwick has been appointed EMEA Transportation & Logistics Leader. Chadwick, who joined Aon in 2012, previously led the Protection & Indemnity (P&I) team within the firm’s Global Broking Centre in London. He will now lead the development of Aon’s logistics practice across Europe, working closely with the London-based team to integrate aviation and logistics portfolios and target key growth markets.

David Brining has joined Aon as Regional Director for Power & Renewables within the EMEA Natural Resources team. Brining brings over 25 years of experience, including his previous role as Group Head of Insurance and Claims at National Grid. His expertise spans risk strategy, captive development, and insurance solutions for complex onshore and offshore energy infrastructure.

Advancing the 3×3 Plan

Aon is reinforcing its commercial risk division through strategic investments aimed at enhancing advisory and placement capabilities across key markets, particularly in the EMEA region.

Among these initiatives is Broker Copilot, a proprietary digital platform that structures and analyses broker submission data. The tool provides brokers with real-time insights into pricing trends, insurer appetite, and placement performance to improve decision-making and efficiency.

Additionally, Aon has unveiled its Data Centre Lifecycle Insurance Programme, a comprehensive solution that integrates coverage for a range of exposures—including construction, cyber, and liability—into a single policy. The programme is underpinned by Aon’s cyber risk modelling and analytics expertise and is tailored to meet the complex needs of clients in the rapidly expanding global data infrastructure sector.
