Aon plc has appointed Tom Anderson as Head of Professional Services for its Global Broking Centre (GBC) in London.
Anderson, who joined Aon in 2023 to lead the Design and Construction Professional Indemnity team, will now take charge of strategic advisory, operational efficiency, and client service delivery across broking activities for Professional Services within the GBC.
In his expanded role, he will lead the centre’s broking operations with a focus on enhancing advisory capabilities, streamlining processes, and maintaining high standards of client service for the professional services sector.
Commenting on the appointment, John Brosnan, Head of Aon’s Financial & Professional Services Group, said:
“This appointment underscores the growing momentum within Aon’s broking capabilities and reflects our commitment to the 3×3 strategy, driving smarter, faster, and more scalable solutions through increased investment in the future of risk and human capital.”
Brosnan added that he looks forward to working closely with Anderson and expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen Aon’s client delivery.
The move comes as part of a series of senior leadership changes at Aon this year. Eric Andersen stepped down as president to become senior adviser to CEO Greg Case, while former Lloyd’s CEO John Neal is set to join Aon as global CEO of reinsurance and global chairman of climate solutions.
In parallel, Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions unit has appointed Tony DeMarco as managing director for reinsurance. DeMarco, a specialist in casualty and professional lines, will focus on designing and executing casualty placements for clients. The firm has also bolstered its senior leadership in Asia Pacific and the United States.
These appointments align with Aon’s wider strategy to integrate its risk capital and human capital capabilities and advance its 3×3 Plan.
