A wave of senior leadership appointments has been announced across the insurance sector over the past 24 hours, reflecting a continued focus on underwriting expertise, claims capability and data-driven innovation.
Arch Insurance International elevates Hope and Mani in executive assurance
Arch Insurance International has promoted Antony Hope to directors & officers (D&O) underwriting manager and Sangeetha Mani to financial institutions (FI) underwriting manager within its executive assurance division.
Both appointments are based in London, with Hope and Mani reporting to Maggie Munns, head of executive assurance. They will oversee underwriting across the open-market D&O and FI portfolios respectively, with a mandate to deepen broker relationships and build on the strong growth delivered by both books in recent years.
Hope joined Arch in 2019 and was most recently a class underwriter. He has previously held underwriting roles at Markel International, Argo and DUAL. Mani joined Arch in 2021 as a senior underwriter, having previously worked at Travelers. Each brings more than 15 years of insurance market experience to their new roles.
Consilium strengthens claims capability with senior hires
Consilium has expanded its claims team with three senior appointments, further bolstering its specialist expertise.
Nicole Crowhurst has joined as an associate partner from Evolin Broking, bringing 33 years of claims-handling experience. Her background spans international property, marine, professional indemnity and cyber claims, alongside reinsurance work at Aon and Guy Carpenter.
Louise Biddell and Kristin DeSouza have both joined as senior associates from Price Forbes.
Biddell brings 22 years of experience across international casualty, property and subrogation claims, having previously held roles at Lockton, Xchanging, SCOR and AIG. DeSouza has 24 years of reinsurance experience, with claims expertise spanning casualty, medical malpractice, general liability, property and professional indemnity, claims at Besso, Aon and Swiss Re.
Sixfold appoints Rosa as chief data & analytics officer
Insurtech Sixfold has appointed Tony Rosa as chief data & analytics officer, following its recent US$30m Series B funding round led by Brewer Lane, with participation from Guidewire.
Rosa brings 15 years of experience in insurance data and underwriting strategy and previously led the adoption of Sixfold’s platform from the client side. Prior to joining the company, he served as chief data & analytics officer at Ignyte Insurance and previously held senior analytics roles at NSM Insurance Group.
In his new role, Rosa will focus on advancing Sixfold’s portfolio-level AI underwriting capabilities.
Fadata names new chief commercial officer
Core insurance software provider Fadata has appointed Kirsten Skarnvad as chief commercial officer.
Skarnvad brings more than 20 years of experience advising insurers on large-scale core system transformations, with a strong track record in driving commercial growth, operational efficiency and return on investment across policy administration platforms.
She will lead Fadata’s global commercial strategy, with a particular focus on maximising the value of its INSIS core insurance solution for both existing and new clients. Skarnvad will also play a key role in shaping the company’s AI roadmap, encompassing both product development and internal operations. Her previous roles include senior partner, business development and consultancy positions at IBM and other policy administration and ecosystem providers.
