Arch Insurance International proudly announces the appointment of Barbara Rizzi as Chief Claims Officer, effective immediately. Bringing a wealth of expertise in claims management and legal practice, Rizzi assumes this pivotal role within the organization, signaling a commitment to excellence and innovation in claims operations.
Having joined Arch in 2013, Rizzi has demonstrated exceptional leadership in her previous role as Head of Third-Party Claims. With over two decades of experience, she has honed her skills at prestigious law firms including Clyde & Co LLP and Kennedys Law LLP, specializing in insurance law. A qualified solicitor in both England & Wales and Italy, Rizzi’s international perspective and legal acumen position her as a formidable leader in the industry.
Beyond her professional achievements, Rizzi is an influential figure in internal leadership, serving as the co-chair of Arch’s UK Women & Allies Network. This group plays a vital role in fostering the advancement of women within the organization through initiatives such as networking, mentorship, and sponsorship.
In her new role, Rizzi will spearhead claims operations and strategy across key markets including the London Market, UK Regional Market, Australia, and the EU. Based in London, she will report directly to Kirsten Valder, recently promoted to Deputy CEO of Arch Insurance International.
Valder commended Rizzi’s dedication and expertise, expressing confidence in her ability to drive success in this critical position.
In tandem with this appointment, Arch Insurance International’s parent company, Arch Insurance Group, unveiled positive financial results for the first quarter of 2024, reflecting growth across its segments.
