ARTes Specialty Partners With DUAL North America To Expand Inland Marine Insurance Solutions

ARTes Specialty, a managing general agent (MGA) focused on niche and specialty risk portfolios, has announced a strategic partnership with DUAL North America’s energy division, formerly known as EIURS.

Under the agreement, ARTes will provide inland marine and related insurance coverage—including real and personal property—supported by Lloyd’s capacity. The new facility is designed to complement DUAL Energy’s existing portfolio, expanding the range of solutions available to clients in the energy sector. Together, the firms aim to strengthen their ability to serve businesses with complex and evolving insurance needs.

Chris Thomas, chief executive officer at ARTes Specialty, described the collaboration as a “natural next step” in the company’s North American expansion and its strategy to diversify its inland marine portfolio.

The partnership comes at a time of robust growth for the excess and surplus (E&S) insurance market, which includes inland marine. In 2024, the sector recorded direct premiums written of approximately $86.47 billion, reflecting a 14.5% year-on-year increase.

For its part, DUAL North America has also been enhancing its specialty capabilities through key appointments. Most recently, the firm named Jason Collier as executive vice president – Bloodstock & Equine, reinforcing its presence in the U.S. equine mortality sector and highlighting its broader push into specialised insurance lines.

ARTes Specialty operates as an appointed representative of Asta, a third-party managing agent at Lloyd’s.
