The property and casualty specialty risk division of AXA, AXA XL expanse its regional underwriting capability with the addition of senior environmental writers and also announced the promotion of Jeffrey Anastasio to lead the company’s environmental claims team in North America.
Jeffrey has been promoted from his previous role as an Environmental Claims Manager. He has more than 14 years of experience in claims management and has worked on AXA XL’s environmental claims team since 2015.
Kimberly McDonald was promoted to AXA XL’s head of specialty claims in America, and with that, Jeffrey will succeed McDonald for his new role. AXA XLs has appointed four senior environmental writers Jay Kao, Lindsay Judd, Angela Case and Igor Pavlo.
Lindsay Judd has 14 years plus experience in pollution insurance. She has held several underwriting positions at Zurich and Chubb, addressing the environmental risk of business in real estate, Hospital biotech, municipality, manufacturing, mergers and acquisition industries. She was the Director of Finance at Brownfield Redevelopment firm before joining the insurance industry. With her role as a new CA, she will be based in San Francisco.
Jay Kao has seven years of experience as a senior environmental underwriter at Chubb, providing businesses with constructor pollution and site pollution coverage. Before entering the insurance industry, Jay was a scientist for an Environmental Consulting firm and now, with his new role in CA as a senior underwriter. He will be working in Los Angeles.
Angela Case has more than ten years of experience in Environmental underwriting and held several positions at Zurich, Tokio Marine, and West Congress insurance services. In this new role, she will address the multiline Personal and Care Insurance needs of environmental businesses such as Environmental Contractors, Consultants, Hazmat Transporters, and others. Angela will be working from Denver.
Igor Pavlo has more than seven years of experience as a senior environmental underwriter at Chubb, helping environmental businesses address their personal and Care Insurance needs. Most recently, he was associated with Berkley Environmental. He is also a Marine Crop Veteran. He will be located in Exton, Pennsylvania.
