AXA XL, Argenta and Targa Telematics have each announced senior appointments, strengthening leadership across global partnerships, strategy and UK insurance operations.
AXA XL appoints Hazlewood to global partnerships role
AXA XL has promoted long-serving executive Samantha Hazlewood to the newly created role of head of AXA Group Partnerships and Strategic Client Management, effective 1 February.
In her new position, Hazlewood will lead relationships with AXA’s most strategic global accounts, working across the wider AXA organisation to deliver tailored solutions for key clients.
Hazlewood joined AXA in 2012 and has held a range of senior business development and partnership roles across AXA Group, AXA Partners and AXA XL. Most recently, she served as global enterprise director and head of the utilities and energy sector within AXA’s Global Enterprise Management team.
Argenta names Hayes and Tzimopoulos to senior posts
Argenta has announced two senior appointments, with Alexandra Hayes joining in early January 2026 and Sweta Tzimopoulos set to take up her role later in the year, subject to confirmation of a start date.
Hayes has been appointed head of group strategy and execution and chief of staff, reporting to CEO Nick Moore. She will work closely with the senior management team to drive group priorities and ensure effective delivery of strategic objectives.
She joins from Direct Line Group, where she served as chief of staff to the CEO, supporting improved business performance and work associated with Aviva’s successful acquisition of the group. Prior to that, Hayes held the same role at Lloyd’s, contributing to the development and execution of the market’s five-year strategic plan. Earlier in her career, she worked at JP Morgan, having previously served as an officer in the British Army’s Royal Engineers.
Tzimopoulos has been appointed chief distribution officer, also reporting to Moore. In the role, she will be responsible for shaping Argenta’s distribution strategy, with a focus on broker relationships and the development of new distribution channels.
