The Bspoke Group and Specialist Risk Group (SRG) have unveiled significant leadership changes as both firms advance their growth strategies.
Bspoke Group
Bspoke Group has appointed Ryan Gill as chief executive officer, succeeding Tim Smyth. Gill, previously the group’s chief commercial officer, will also join NFP’s UK and Ireland executive leadership team following Bspoke’s recent acquisition by NFP. Smyth will transition into the role of deputy chair, where he will focus on shaping strategic direction and strengthening opportunities from the NFP partnership. Craig Hunter will continue as chief operating officer.
As part of its restructuring, Bspoke has launched a dedicated retail division that consolidates Police Mutual, Forces Mutual, Bspoke Lifestyle, Bspoke Private Clients, and insurtech platform Arma Karma. Kerry McMahon-White has been appointed retail managing director, while maintaining her position as managing director of Police Mutual. Additional appointments within the division include Andy Talbot, joining in September as retail operations director from Gallagher; Adrian Ewington, stepping into the role of retail underwriting director; and Stuart Bromley, who will take over as managing director of Bspoke Private Clients.
Specialist Risk Group
Meanwhile, SRG has named Sasa Brcerevic as its first group chief commercial officer, effective November 1. Brcerevic joins from Aon, where he served as managing director of the carrier solutions group, and brings a career spanning technology, consulting, broking, and carrier roles across start-ups and multinational organisations.
Group CEO Warren Downey highlighted the importance of the new role in supporting SRG’s scaling ambitions, adding that Brcerevic’s diverse experience will deliver “sharper insight, faster execution, and a stronger operating rhythm across geographies and product lines.”
The appointment follows SRG’s ongoing expansion of specialist capabilities through acquisitions and strategic hires. Most recently, the group acquired motorsport insurance expert James Hirst and his team from James Hallam Ltd, strengthening its offering in on-track accident damage, liability, personal accident, event cancellation, and other complex motorsport risks.
