Cigna Group has announced the appointment of Brian Evanko as its new president and chief operating officer (COO), effective March 31.
Evanko, who has been serving as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Cigna Healthcare since January 2024, oversees all Cigna Healthcare businesses. He has also held the role of chief financial officer (CFO) of Cigna Group since 2021.
As part of this leadership transition, Ann Dennison has been named executive vice president and CFO of Cigna Group. In this capacity, Dennison will oversee all enterprise financial operations and functions. She will also join the company’s enterprise leadership team and report directly to Cigna Group CEO David Cordani.
Dennison joined Cigna in early 2024 as deputy CFO. Before that, she served as executive vice president and CFO at Nasdaq and was previously managing director and head of financial reporting at Goldman Sachs.
Additionally, Nicole Jones, currently serving as chief administrative officer and general counsel, will take on expanded responsibilities. Her portfolio will now include oversight of Cigna Group’s enterprise marketing division, aligning it with the other functions she already leads, such as public affairs, federal and state government affairs, legal, and human resources.
In financial news, Cigna Group reaffirmed its full-year 2025 outlook, projecting consolidated adjusted income from operations of at least $29.50 per share. This forecast falls below the average analyst estimate of $31.50 per share, as compiled by Bloomberg.
