The Clear Group has officially launched Shape Underwriting as the new identity for its Managing General Agent (MGA) division, effective May 1, 2025. The rebrand consolidates Clear’s underwriting operations under a single, unified banner.
Shape Underwriting integrates the offerings of Profile Underwriting and One Commercial Specialty, streamlining the MGA platform to support Clear Group’s broader strategy of organic growth and strategic acquisitions in the UK insurance market.
Operating across a diverse range of specialty lines, Shape Underwriting is focused on delivering bespoke solutions to brokers in key sectors including commercial, property, and casualty insurance.
The rebranding follows a series of significant expansion initiatives by Clear Group. In April 2025, the company acquired London-based Moore Robinson Ltd, a specialist in property portfolio and construction-related insurance. Founder Robin Moore and his team have now joined Clear’s corporate division.
Earlier in February, Clear Group further broadened its footprint with the acquisition of Dublin-based broker Phelan Caswell Insurances (PCI), including its financial planning business. This move enhanced Clear’s service capabilities in Ireland, extending support to more than 2,500 clients across various sectors.
These developments reflect Clear Group’s commitment to growth, innovation, and market leadership, positioning Shape Underwriting as a prominent force in the evolving insurance landscape.
