Clear Group has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Barbara Duffy as Group Chief People & Performance Officer and the enhanced role of Victoria Gallimore as Group Chief of Staff, supporting the broker’s ambitious growth strategy.
Duffy (pictured above), who officially joins on 8 September, brings extensive experience from senior HR and leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Global Chief People Officer at IG Group, overseeing people, sustainability, and communications. Her career also includes leadership positions at St. James’ Place Wealth Management, RWE Group, Nationwide Building Society, and Centrica plc. At Clear, she will be responsible for driving the people and organisational development strategy, with a strong focus on talent, capability, and performance.
Gallimore, who previously led both the Chief of Staff and People & Culture functions, will continue as Group Chief of Staff with an expanded remit. She will work closely with the executive team to spearhead strategic initiatives, enhance operational alignment, and strengthen collaboration across the business.
These leadership moves come as Clear Group continues to deliver strong performance. The broker reported 11% organic growth in Q1 2025. For the financial year ending 31 October 2024, revenue grew 24.5% to £93 million, while adjusted EBITDA rose 45.8% to £27.7 million. The business has been executing its long-term strategy in partnership with Goldman Sachs, which invested in the group in 2022.
Alongside acquisitions, Clear has prioritised integration and operational efficiency, including the migration of its UK retail operations to a single technology platform and the expansion of its managing general agent (MGA) capabilities. The group has also strengthened its brand identity through rebrands such as Shape Underwriting and Clear Insurance Ireland.
To support its people-first strategy, Clear has made several senior hires and invested in training and development, most notably through its Future Leaders Programme in collaboration with Warwick Business School.
