Devexperts has announced the appointment of Mark Belane as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances. With over 30 years of experience in financial technology, capital markets, and business transformation, Belane brings a wealth of knowledge to the company.
Throughout his career, Belane has gained deep expertise in FinTech and its evolving role within capital markets. His proficiency in technology transformation will be instrumental in helping Devexperts’ clients navigate the dynamic financial landscape.
In his new role, Belane will advise financial institutions on selecting innovative software solutions while ensuring compliance and security in an increasingly complex market environment.
Belane’s extensive background spans both the financial and technology sectors. Following his studies at multiple universities and business schools, he began his career at IBM before transitioning into finance. He has held key positions at Nykredit Investment and provided consultancy services to leading financial institutions, including Grupo Santander, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, Standard Chartered, Deutsche Bank, and Nordea.
Returning to the technology sector, Belane focused on FinTech, RegTech, PensionTech, and LawTech. He has founded seven startups, successfully exiting one, and has worked with prominent firms such as TIA Technology (now Sapiens), Fadata, KPMG, and Sirma. Additionally, he has contributed as a mentor and advisor to numerous startups, serving on various advisory boards.
Beyond his role at Devexperts, Belane is also a visiting professor at business schools in Barcelona, where he lectures on big data analytics, business intelligence, and corporate strategy. His global experience and strategic insights are expected to enhance Devexperts’ partnerships and alliances worldwide.
