As part of ongoing expansion efforts and leadership realignments in the insurance sector, Gallagher and Preferred Employers Insurance have announced key executive appointments aimed at bolstering their private equity, M&A, and regional distribution capabilities.
Gallagher has named Hunter Davis as Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director of its Private Equity and M&A Practice. In this role, Davis will lead property/casualty and employee benefits operations across the firm’s U.S. brokerage teams. He will also play a pivotal role in delivering integrated insurance and risk management solutions to Gallagher’s private equity and corporate clients engaged in mergers and acquisitions.
Bringing more than two decades of experience in insurance brokerage and investment banking, Davis previously held the role of Chief Revenue Officer and Co-Head of M&A and Transaction Solutions at Aon. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and business administration from the University of Kansas and will be based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
This appointment follows Gallagher’s recent move to expand its Construction Casualty Practice earlier this year with the addition of Gabriella Bradley as Head of the division.
Preferred Employers Insurance, a member of the Berkley group of companies, has appointed Steve Feemster as Sales and Distribution Manager for Southern California. With over 30 years of experience in underwriting and insurance sales, Feemster will focus on broker engagement in San Diego and surrounding counties—an area where he has previously cultivated strong market relationships.
Feemster spent the past decade working on the general agency side of Preferred’s business, providing him with in-depth knowledge of the company’s products and distribution strategy. In his new role, he is tasked with enhancing the company’s workers’ compensation insurance outreach and reinforcing its presence across the Southern California region.
This appointment follows Preferred’s last major leadership announcement in July 2024, when Stephanie Graham was named Vice President of Claims.
