Hamilton Global Specialty, a division of Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd., has announced key leadership appointments within its underwriting teams, reinforcing its commitment to leadership development and business continuity.
Mike Thorp has been named Head of Space and will report to Sinead Cormican, Deputy Active Underwriter for Syndicate 4000. Thorp, who joined Hamilton in 2015, played a pivotal role in launching the company’s space underwriting program in 2016. With 24 years of experience in technical and underwriting roles within the space insurance sector, he brings a wealth of expertise to his new position.
Meanwhile, Chris Golder has been appointed Head of Treaty, reporting to Miles Osorio, Active Underwriter for Syndicate 4000. Golder, who became part of Hamilton’s treaty insurance team in February 2023, has accumulated 16 years of industry experience, including a decade in underwriting.
These strategic appointments underscore Hamilton’s focus on nurturing internal talent to drive growth in its specialized insurance operations.
