Highstreet Insurance Partners With Collum Insurance Group

Highstreet Insurance Partners has purchased the assets of Collum Insurance Group, based in Richardson, Texas.

The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

This acquisition strengthens Highstreet Insurance’s footprint in the Gulf region and brings Collum Insurance under the leadership of Vin Stazzone, president of Highstreet Insurance’s Gulf operations. Carl Collum, president of Collum Insurance, will continue to lead his team as part of the Highstreet Insurance network.

The deal is part of Highstreet Insurance’s ongoing expansion strategy. In September, the company acquired H.G. Ellis Agency, a Camden, N.Y.-based firm. That transaction added three locations and 11 employees to Highstreet Insurance’s Northeast region, overseen by James Hutchinson.

Highstreet Insurance has also bolstered its Gulf region with the acquisition of Largo, Fla.-based Mitchell Agency, which specializes in business and personal insurance solutions. This deal added another location and eight employees to the Gulf region. Meanwhile, the purchase of Columbia Insurance, headquartered in Vancouver, Wash., expanded the company’s West region under the leadership of Brian Clifford, adding five locations to its operations. Columbia Insurance offers a range of personal and commercial risk management services.

In addition to these acquisitions, Highstreet Insurance has implemented notable leadership changes. Avery Zuck has been named chief financial officer, succeeding David Tuit, who has taken on the role of executive vice president and chief development officer.

The company has also launched Brightstone Specialty Group, a new subsidiary focused on specialty insurance solutions. Scott Goodreau, formerly Highstreet Insurance’s president and chief growth officer, has been appointed CEO of Brightstone Specialty Group. Tim Topkins, an industry veteran with experience at Markel and Hagerty, has joined Brightstone as chief product officer.

These strategic moves reflect Highstreet Insurance’s commitment to growth and innovation as it continues to expand its reach and capabilities across the U.S.
