Howden Re Appoints Kelly Hatch As Director Of International Facultative Reinsurance

Howden Re has announced the appointment of Kelly Hatch as the director of international facultative reinsurance.

An experienced property reinsurance broker, Hatch brings a wealth of expertise in Asia Pacific (APAC) property placements to his new role. Based in London, he will focus on delivering reinsurance solutions to clients across the APAC region while contributing to the growth of Howden Re International’s property placement operations.

Hatch joins Howden Re after a distinguished 26-year career at Aon, where he most recently served as executive director. With nearly three decades of experience managing complex property portfolios and providing tailored reinsurance solutions, Hatch’s extensive knowledge will strengthen Howden Re’s capabilities in the international market.

Reporting to Akshay Reddy, head of facultative broking for Europe and Pacific at Howden Re International, Hatch’s appointment underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing its global presence and expanding its offerings in key markets.

In related news, Howden Re has completed the rebranding of Haakon AG, its Basel-based reinsurance broker, to Howden Re Switzerland. This move marks the final step in Haakon’s integration into the Howden brand after joining the company a year ago.

Howden Re Switzerland will continue to operate from its offices in Basel and Zurich, ensuring close proximity to Swiss clients. The firm’s presence in Asia will be further supported by its Malaysia office and additional expertise from the team in Singapore. These strategic locations emphasize Howden Re’s dedication to providing localized and specialized services to its clients globally.
