Howden has named Azman Noorani as its global practice leader for surety, a strategic move to bolster its global surety capabilities and enhance client services. The announcement aligns with Howden’s commitment to strengthening its offerings in this specialized area, the company revealed in a news release.
In his new position, Noorani will report directly to Mark Wood, head of global specialty practices. Noorani brings over 26 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance, having previously served as the global head of surety at Swiss Re.
In his new role, Noorani will lead the development of Howden’s global surety practice, building on the company’s existing capabilities. The news release noted that the practice aims to deliver innovative solutions for companies with bond requirements spanning multiple countries.
Mark Wood in a statement emphasised the significance of Noorani’s appointment in advancing Howden’s international strategy.
Founded in 1994, Howden is a global insurance group that emphasizes employee ownership. The company provides insurance broking, reinsurance broking, and underwriting services and manages $42 billion in premiums annually.
