The past 24 hours have seen several notable senior moves across the insurance market.
DUAL Strengthens European Transactional Liability Leadership
DUAL Europe has named Amaury Berhault and Jaume Benajiba as managing directors of its European transactional liability division. Both executives bring more than 17 years of experience in the field and join the business from Acquinex, where they co-heads operations for Southern Europe and Latin America.
DUAL’s transactional risk practice provides a comprehensive suite of M&A-related solutions, including warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance, tax liability cover, title insurance, and contingent risk policies. The division supports a broad spectrum of deal activity, ranging from complex large transactions to smaller M&A opportunities.
Fenchurch Law Has Appointed Chris Wilkes As A Partner
Fenchurch Law has expanded its London disputes team with the appointment of Chris Wilkes as partner. Wilkes joins from DAC Beachcroft and brings more than 40 years of insurance litigation expertise, including over 47 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance disputes.
Highly regarded by leading legal directories, Wilkes is recognised for his work across product liability, property damage, construction and professional indemnity. He has also played a significant role in advising insurers on COVID-19 business interruption matters for insurer clients.
The hire comes as Fenchurch continues to build out its domestic and international footprint, including the opening of its Istanbul office on 1 October this year. The firm, which specialises in advising policyholders and brokers, operates across sectors such as construction, professional services, and cyber.
Wilkes’ move from long-standing insurer-side work to a policyholder- and broker-focused practice adds significant technical depth in coverage disputes—a capability increasingly in demand among firms handling large BI, property, and PI claims, as well as brokers seeking specialist coverage support.
